GENERAL COTTON CARE INSTRUCTION
For specific instructions always refer to the garment's sewn-in care label.

  • COTTON CAN BE EASILY LAUNDERED. IT WITHSTANDS HIGH TEMPERATURES (BOILING WATER DOES NOT DAMAGE THE FIBRE).
  • ANY GOOD DETERGENT CAN BE USED TO WASH COTTON.
  • CHLORINE BLEACH CAN BE USED SAFELY ON COTTON WHITES. USE COLOR-SAFE BLEACH ON DYED COTTONS.
  • SINCE COTTON FIBRES ARE FAIRLY INELASTIC FABRICS MAY WRINKLE, BUT ARE EASILY PRESSED.
  • COTTON WILL TAKE LONGER TO DRY THAN LESS ABSORBENT FIBERS.
  • COTTON CAN BE IRONED WITH A HOT IRON, AND DOES NOT SCORCH EASILY

WASHING TIPS

1. Act quickly
Wash the stained garment without delay. Old stains are much more difficult to remove than fresh stains.

2. Never use lukewarm water
Always tackle sticky stains with hot water and soap.

3. Consult the washing label before using a stain remover
Always read the washing label on the garment before washing.

4. Do not mix stain removers
Do not use various stain removers directly after each other. You can use a different product only when the first product has been washed out.

5. Work from the inside outwards
When you treat a stain with a stain remover, it is best to work inside-out. Rub the inside of the garment and hold a clean cotton cloth on the stain on the outside, so that it can absorb the dirt.

6. Avoid excessive doses
Adjust the dosage of detergent to the level of dirt and the water hardness. You will then avoid excessive dosing and the associated unnecessary burden on the environment.

7. Wash at the lowest recommended temperature
Always wash at the lowest recommended temperature. Your wash will then be beautifully clean, the electricity bill will stay low and you will not waste any energy.

8. Rinse your washing machine with vinegar
Regardless of which washing powder you use, it is advisable to cleanse your washing machine regularly. Rinsing your washing machine with vinegar every 2 to 3 months means you will avoid scaling and extend your machine's life significantly. To do this, carry out a washing and rinsing run at 60°C without any clothes in the machine.
